Soms heb je geen grote statement oorbellen nodig om in de zomerstemming te komen. Soms is een klein beetje kleur al genoeg. Juline Summer Vibes is zo’n setje dat je meteen doet denken aan zon op je huid, een frisse outfit en dat lichte gevoel van “alles mag wat speelser”. Dit is een MINI oorstekers set met 3 paar in zomerse tinten: vrolijk, fris en super makkelijk om elke dag te dragen.

De oorstekers zijn mini (ongeveer 1,2 tot 1,5 cm), waardoor ze subtiel blijven en overal bij passen. Ideaal voor op vakantie, voor warme dagen waarop je haar vaak opsteekt, of gewoon voor je dagelijkse look wanneer je zin hebt in iets lichts en kleurrijks. En omdat het een set van drie paar is, kan je afwisselen. Kies elke dag een andere tint, of combineer ze als je meerdere gaatjes hebt voor een speelse ear stack. Summer Vibes is gemaakt om mee te spelen, zonder dat het druk wordt.

Zoals al mijn oorbellen wordt ook deze set 100% met de hand gemaakt in mijn atelier in Anzegem. Ik werk op een basis van zwart acryl en bouw de kleuren zorgvuldig op zodat de zomertinten mooi tot hun recht komen. Daarna werk ik elk paar af met UV-hars. Die glanzende laag geeft een mooie finish, zorgt voor extra diepte in de kleur en helpt om je oorstekers langer mooi te houden. Het resultaat is een set die er fris en verzorgd uitziet, met die typische Keelin Design handgemaakte charme.

En natuurlijk: comfort is key. Acryl is super lichtgewicht, waardoor je deze oorstekers nauwelijks voelt zitten. Perfect voor lange dagen, uitstapjes, terrasjes of gewoon een drukke werkdag. Ook als je gevoelige oren hebt, zit je goed. De oorstekers zijn gemaakt van hypoallergeen RVS, wat helpt om irritatie te vermijden en zorgeloos te dragen.

Juline Summer Vibes is het perfecte setje als je houdt van kleine oorbellen met een vrolijke twist. Een mini cadeautje voor jezelf, een fijne basis voor je zomerlooks, en een set die je elke dag opnieuw met plezier uit je juwelendoos haalt.

I’m not going to go into what this book is about — by now you e already read the synopsis and have an idea — but I will give a couple of insights. Definitely a different take on angels and their fall; I like it. This is an interesting start to a new series - YES, this does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared for that. I’m eager for the next book (and hopefully the last in this series — sometimes the author(s) will switch it up depending on how the story flows for them) in this series. I’m hoping that a certain male character redeems himself because he’s a dick that will make the meaning of mixed signals jealous lol. You ever watch that old movie — I think it’s call Mommy Dearest? — yea, let’s switch that up to daddy. That man would make a perfect husband to mommy dearest. I recommend this book because while these authors are well known for their cliffhangers, they are also well known for putting out good stories.

I liked the worlds and the characters. The prophesy is confusing in that I would think, since all worlds ore on a path to destruction, the angels would want their world to be saved. I am sure there is more evil that will be revealed as the series proceeds. I dislike a prolonged “poor little me” trope and the main character has moved past that, thankfully, and began to show a fierce attitude as the novel progressed. The last portion of the novel had some great action. It’s worth reading, just be patient with a slow start.

This book packs an emotional punch, especially if you’ve experienced childhood trauma (particularly abuse and/or neglect). Alexandra creates these three strong protectors who love her and will do anything to make her feel happy and safe. She started out drawing them when she was a small child, and then transitioned to stories as she grew up. Lucien, Elwin, and Kylo look frightening in their monster forms, but it’s clear that they would never hurt Alexandra, and she has never felt afraid of them. They have very distinct personalities that we get to know better throughout the book. The love and devotion they have for Alexandra is sweet and unwavering. This is a fantastic and creative story! The world-building is wonderful - it’s a shared world with M. Sinclair, and takes place at a university for supernatural beings. The additional world-building within Alexandra’s story added even more depth and intrigue. The spicy times were 🥵 and it’s more of a medium burn, but it works with the characters and I expect that it’ll pick up quite a bit in the next books. Monsters Within has a unique way of addressing mental health issues that can come from being abused and neglected. There are some flashbacks to Alexandra’s childhood that provide some insight but they don’t go into heavy details. I absolutely adored this book and can’t wait for more!
